Gorgeous Mountaintop Wedding Elopement in Norway // Bryllup i Stranda

I’m honestly lost for words to fully describe to you just how magical this day was. Leo and Hanlin are a world-class couple originating from China but currently residing in England. They were absolutely wonderful to work with as they walked through their beautiful wedding day together.

To start with, they had rented a gorgeous cabin about 10 min from Stranda, where they got ready for the day. Once they were ready to go, they packed up the car and we headed over to Strandafjellet (Stranda Mountain) where we hopped on the summer gondola and rode it up the beautiful mountainside. Once we reached the top, we walked across the mountain until we found the perfect spot to setup their elopement wedding area with their wedding cake, champagne and sheep skins to sit on. The setting was magical. The weather was perfect. They stood on the mountain edge and spoke their vows to each other and soon after cut the cake and took in the moment with the champagne surrounded by the Norwegian mountains, ocean and warm sunshine.

Once time had passed a bit we took a few photos and I even flew my drone a bit to get some overhead shots of the area and the couple on the mountainside. Hanlin’s veil measured 10m long (32ft) and was a blast to play with on some of the shots.

After a while we came down the mountain and finished up the photos on the edge of the fjord, and finally in the moss covered woods of Stranda. Overall it was an incredible day and I hope to shoot many more elopements and bridal shoots such as this one in the coming years.

Thanks again Hanlin & Leo for the wonderful opportunity to photograph your wedding elopement in Stranda!
